May Rescue of the Month
This month, Homebound Society is proud to support The Animal Rescue Alliance, a volunteer-run 501(c)(3) non-profit dedicated to ending pet homelessness in the Greater Kansas City area. Formed by a network of local rescuers, TARA operates through a combination of dedicated foster homes and leased boarding kennels to save as many lives as possible.
Because they receive no government funding, they rely on community donations to cover the high costs of boarding and medical care.
Beyond rescue and adoption, TARA supports the community through:
- Low-cost spay/neuter assistance.
- Special needs fundraising for pets requiring urgent medical attention.
- Transport and screening services to ensure pets find safe, permanent homes.
- Public education and advocacy for animal welfare.
Throughout the entire month of May, a portion of every single sale made at HomeboundSociety.com and our Etsy shop goes directly to supporting their mission.
