Rescue of the Month
This month, Homebound Society is proud to support Lucky 13 Rescue , a rescue that’s been saving dogs since 2016. They serve the Kansas City metro and surrounding rural communities, helping dogs who have experienced neglect, homelessness, abuse, or are in immediate danger.
Lucky 13 Rescue is completely foster-based, meaning they don’t have a physical shelter. Every dog is placed in a loving foster home where they can decompress, heal, and receive medical and behavioral support before finding their forever family. Each pup is: Spayed or neutered Fully vaccinated Microchipped Heartworm-negativeIt truly takes a village. They’re always looking for fosters and volunteers - from transportation and vet scheduling to fundraising and event planning. And if volunteering isn’t possible right now, donations are always appreciated (and tax-deductible!), helping them continue saving lives.
